Slave One naît de l'esprit de Seb en 2009.

Avec Nico aux guitares et basse, il enregistre une démo Vermin dans laquelle il se charge de la batterie et du chant. Avec Vermin, le duo jette les bases de son identité à la croisée du Death Metal américain et européen, influencé par des groupes tels Death, Morbid Angel ou Atheist, Pestilence ou encore At the Gates, Dark Tranquility notamment.

En 2010, le groupe évolue avec les arrivées de Ben à la guitare rythmique, Williams à la basse et Nico P au chant afin d'assurer les lives. Ses arrivées donnent au groupe un nouveau souffle. Le groupe s’attelle ensuite à l'écriture de nouveaux morceaux.

Sorti en 2012, Cold Obscurantist Light et ses 5 titres soulignent les progrès du groupe dans un style Death prog. plus soigné et structuré, inspiré par les différentes cosmogonies. Chaque instrument joue un rôle primordial dans ses nouveaux morceaux et donne aux compositions plus de profondeur. L'obscurantisme est au centre de cet EP et sert de matière à réflexion.

Le groupe continue d'affiner son style et compose les morceaux qui constituent l'album Disclosed Dioptric Principles, prévu le 25/03/2016.
